While controversy may still rage on over HMV marking the return of their Grafton Street store with an Record Store Day opening they will do so with a host of Irish talent on display.
The store will open at 8.00am with the store giving a free PlayStation 4 console to the first person in the queue and 40% off all vinyl on the day.
Performing on the day will be:

While the store will also have Ministry of Sound DJ Shane Kehoe, and Dublin’s DJ Francois performing in the HMV window on the day.
Following a three and a half year break Roddie Cleere has announced the return of his Irish Music Show. The show will be broadcast on KCLR which broadcasts to Kilkenny and Carlow.
The show will showcase the best in homegrown talent every Sunday between 7pm and 10pm with the first show taking place on Sunday 4th May.
Gig guides, local and national, interviews and other features will help to ensure that lovers of Irish bands/acts are soundly catered for and kept up to date.
One of Ireland’s finest festivals, Indiependence, are looking for an intern for this years festival.
With this years line-up featuring the likes of Public Enemy, Tom Odell, White Lies, Fun Loving Criminals, Scroobius Pip vs Dan Le Sac, Delorentos, The Sultans Of Ping, Orla Gartland, Lisa O’Neill, Walking On Cars, The Academic and We Cut Corners this is the perfect chance for anyone interested in being involved in the music industry to get some hands on experience.
The internship will last 12 weeks (running from Monday, May 12th – Friday, August 8th) and will run be based mainly in Dublin.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday, April 22nd at 5.00pm.

Bulmers Live returns this summer for it’s sixth outing with a host of top Irish an International acts performing over the 8 weeks.
Leading the Irish charge will be Raglans, fresh from their sold out gig in The Academy while Heathers, Ham Sandwich, The Stunning and Sharon Shannon are also set to perform while Peter Hook & The Light, Johnny Marr and The Charlatans complete a very strong line-up.

Tickets priced €15 are on sale now while hospitality packages are available priced €25, 55 and €60.
Following last years sold out shows in Vicar Street, the Marquee and an impromptu gig on Grafton Street Mike Rosenberg aka Passenger has announced his biggest Irish headline show to date when he makes his way to the O2 on November 22nd.
Mike will be performing in support of his sixth studio album Whispers, which is released on June 9th.
Tickets priced €33.50 go on sale on Friday April 25.
