Hozier has announced that he will perform in Whelan’s this Thursday, 6th March to celebrate the release of his upcoming EP From Eden.
This will be a great chance to catch the Hozier live before he jets over to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The Wicklow singer has also announced a short tour of the UK in June and dates in Germany and France in June.

From it’s beginning in Tokyo in 2011, One Box Record Fair has announced it’s first international trip when they make their way to The Sugar Club on Saturday, Marc 29th.
The “One Box Record Fair” invites vinyl sellers to bring one box of records which they want to sell or trade. According to the website the sellers will be hand picked “ to ensure selections are tight and the quality is high”.
I guess that means that you can leave the Culture Club and Billy Joel vinyl’s that are normally knocking around every vinyl store at home for this one.

Paul Noonan’s ‘Printerclips’ Album release and NCH gig feat Lisa Hannigan, Gemma Hayes and many more
While he may be better known for his work with Bell x1, Paul Noonan has confirmed he will be going it alone, and by that we mean going it alone with a little help from his friends, with the announcement of his side project Printerclips.
Printerclips will feature Paul Noonan collaborating with Joan As Policewoman, Martha Wainwright, Amy Millan, Lisa Hannigan, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Julia Stone, Cathy Davey, Gemma Hayes, Danielle Harrisson and Caoimhin O Raghallaigh.
In celebration of the release Paul has announced he will launch the album with a date at the National Concert Hall on 24th May. The launch will see Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey, Gemma Hayes, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Danielle Harrisson and Caoimhin O’Raghallaigh also perform on the night.

Howard Shore, the man behind the music of The Lord of the Rings, Gangs Of New York, The Hobbit, Hugo and sadly Twilight is coming to the National Concert Hall on Saturday, April 26th.
Howard will be performing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and soloist Emma-Jane Murphy as he presents his new Irish collaboration featuring both his classical and soundtrack work.

YouBloom have confirmed that it will be returning from 13th to 15th June. What originally began as a song contest has now evolved into a 3 day event which will feature 50 Irish and 50 international acts as well as music conferences on Saturday and Sunday June 14th and 15th in the Royal College of Surgeons.
The Keynote speaker is former Creation Records’ boss Alan McGee with Q&A by Neil McCormick, other speakers include A&R man Nigel Grainge (responsible for successful signings such as Thin Lizzy, Boomtown Rats, Sinead O’Connor, Waterboys), Rupert Hine (co-founder of Factory Records) and Alex Von Soos (songwriter with Atomic Kitten / All Saints).
This years gigs will take place in across ten venues in the Dame District and any acts looking to apply to play should make their way over to YouBlooms website, although be warned there is a €10 fee to apply.
Early Bird tickets priced €10 (until 31 March), €16 (until 30 April) and €20 (Full ticket price) allow access to both days of the music conference (Speed Sessions and Masterclasses are not included) while all the live shows in the Dame District are free to enter.
